Local health institutions in Bulawayo are facing challenges and are unable to help some people who suffer from chronic diseases.
Chronic diseases such as cancer, asthma, arthritis and heart diseases are now common in Zimbabwe and are also affecting the young.
Such diseases require a lot of resources for the affected persons so that they get treatment.
Such is the situation in Nkulumane where young Rudorwashe Grace Moyo is suffering from congenital heart disease.
Her mother says the condition has become critical and if she does not get assistance in time.
The child survives on oxygen which the family says needs to be paid for every month.
Rudorwashe needs about $15000 for her treatment, a condition that could have been prevented during the course of her pregnancy.
