bible.jpgChristians from different denominations in Harare joined their counterparts across the globe in commemorating one of the most sacred holidays in the religion which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

A cross section of Christians gathered at different churches to celebrate Good Friday, which is a day which marks the day Christ was crucified at over 2 000 years ago.

Church leaders who spoke to ZBC News called upon the Christian community to demonstrate the same affection that Jesus Christ had for the rest of the world.

Some of the Christians who spoke to ZBC News said the Easter holiday is time to reflect upon the unassuming nature and love that Christ had for the world.

According to the scriptures, Jesus Christ was arrested and handed over to Roman soldiers who flogged him with whips and was forced to carry his own cross to a place called Golgotha where he was crucified before resurrecting on the 3rd day.
