chitungwiza harmony singers 14-09-10.jpgA local choral group is set for Polokwane, South Africa, to take part in the Old Mutual and Telcom Choir Festival scheduled for the seventh of August.

Victory and Faith Choir, an ensemble comprising 90 members of the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) Kuwadzana Central and Warren Park are expected to leave the country for South Africa on the 2nd of August where they will fight for honors with other choral groups.

Patron of the choir, Mr. Obson Mapiye, said the choir is looking forward to the trip and members are geared up for victory.

Choir director Mr. Kevin Kasimba said they are thrilled to be participants in the competition.

The choir becomes the third group to take part in the competition after the Chitungwiza Harmony singers and Dangamvura old student association.

It was invited after sending their productions to a South African panel of judges.

The choir will sing two songs one in Zulu and another one in Italian.
