Charles Chipanga’s debut eight track album is a touching piece of work whose soothing music contains tracks such as Anondivhenekera, Baba vangu, Gore rangu Muvabatsire.
Prayer expose is purely a Zimbabwean music characterised by marimba, hosho, fused with jazz and is a call to prayer which urges people to love and believe in God during good and complicated circumstances. Chipanga who wrote and produced all the songs on the album feels the road he travelled has given him maturity.
Guest of Honour at the launch, Media, Information and Publicity Minister, Cde Webster Shamu expressed optimism that the young artist is indeed destined for greater heights and thanked Oliver Mtukudzi for nurturing Chipanga.
Chipanga began his professional career with cultural group UMOJA, before joining Prudence Katomeni Mbofana’s Fadz and friends’ jazz outfit.
He later worked with gospel musician Amanda Sagonda and Gospel Trumpet. Chipanga continues to play with the black spirits as a marimba player and a vocalist.
