A Chinese media company, Shenzhen Radio and Film Group is in Zimbabwe for a month to film a romantic comedy titled ‘When Africa meets chanel’.
The film project is aimed at showcasing China and Africa tourism and enhancing cultural exchange.
Addressing a press conference in Harare, the director of the film Cui Yan expressed gratitude to the Zimbabwe government, its various cultural institutions and the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe for facilitating for the production of the film.
The film ‘When Africa meets chanel’ displays Zimbabwe’s striking natural sights, vast grasslands, wild life, local cuisines and cultural customs.
The romantic comedy is aimed at boosting China-African tourism and cultural exchange exhibiting Zimbabwe’s popularity and reputation in China.
The film will be shown in over 20 African countries, and it will make its debut on the China-Africa International Film Festival to be held in October this year.
