The desire to partner with the local industry follows Zimbabwe’s participation in the recent China International Fair for Trade and Investment which was aimed at facilitating bilateral investment with global countries.

Deputy Minster of Industry and Commerce, Cde Mike Bimha who led a business delegation to Xiamen said the Chinese have shown a lot of interest in stepping up investment in the mining and tourism sectors as well as enhancing value addition of local raw materials.

“The country was able to showcase the industry and commerce sectors at a one day conference on Zimbabwe which was well attended, about 250 delegates attended,” said Cde Bimha.
