The last scenes of a Chinese romantic comedy titled: ‘When Africa Meets Chanel,’ was shot in Gweru’s Clonsia suburb.
The romantic comedy is aimed at showcasing China and Africa tourism, and enhancing cultural exchange.
Upon concluding the shoot, the Chinese film crew took time to donate laptops and goodies to the Midlands Children’s Home.
Accepting the donation on behalf of the Midlands Minister of State, Cde Jason Machaya, the Director in his office, Mr Cleto Diwa said the film, which is going to market Zimbabwe on the international arena, is a sure sign of strong ties between Zimbabwe and China
The crew will leave the country for China on 1 August and the film will be shown in China and other countries next year.
