China has reaffirmed its commitment to improve social and economic relations with Zimbabwe.
This comes as the Chinese Embassy and businesspeople are partnering the First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa in assisting the disadvantaged.
China is one of the countries investing in Zimbabwe and the Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Huang Ping today partnered the First Lady in her quest to improve the lives of the less privileged by donating groceries and blankets to 10 children’s homes.
A representative of the Chinese business community in Zimbabwe, Ms Carrie Li said they will continue working towards improving the lives of the disadvantaged.
Amai Mnangagwa commended the Chinese government for being an all weather friend and encouraging the children to remain focussed as they are the future leaders of Zimbabwe.
For the past four years, the Chinese Embassy, with the support of the Chinese business people operating in Zimbabwe, has each year organised a party for the less privileged and the event is carried out in honour of the International Day of Children which is commemorated on the first of every June.
