Visiting China’s World Friends Day who were part of the Harare International Carnival delegation signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Betty Kaseke Foundation that will benefit under privileged members of society.
The MOU will see the foundation receiving a consignment that includes anti retroviral drugs worth US$1 million which will undergo testing by the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) before distribution.
Kuwadzana legislator Dr Betty Kaseke of the Betty Kaseke Foundation commended the gesture by the World Friends Day delegation who were part the just ended Harare International Carnival.
World Friends Day member Zhang Jingtao said the donation is a gesture of cementing the friendship that exists between the two countries.
The ARV drugs are yet to be tested by the MCAZ.
