chinese ambassador.jpgA visiting arts group – China Disabled People’s Performing Arts Troupe – put up a scintillating performance with different types of choreography dubbed ‘My Dream’ to thrill the Zimbabwean audience at the Celebration Centre on Monday night.

The 110 performers with disability from China got a rousing welcome from the audience which filled the Celebration Centre main auditorium.

The group, which is on its 4th visit to Zimbabwe, gave hundreds of fans value for their money.


The fans remained on their feet cheering the special choreography and performance by the Chinese troupe.

The ability to play various types of musical instruments in diverse genres proved to be the strength of the Chinese group.

Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr. Xin Shunkang said the cultural exchange programme by the troupe marked the launch of China’s cultural year.

Deputy Minister of Education, Sport, Arts and Culture, Cde Lazarus Dokora was satisfied with the breathtaking performance describing it as a worthwhile show.

The China disabled people’s performing art troupe holds over 150 shows annually.

The group includes the visually and hearing impaired, and members who are physically challenged.

The show was attended by among other people Minister of Media, Information and Publicity, Cde Webster Shamu, Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Dr Stan Mudenge, service chiefs and diplomats.
