Zimbabwe basketball star, Vitalis Chikoko returned to competitive action in style after helping Pau Lacq Orthez overcome Elan Bearnis 94-82 at the weekend.
It has been a tough few months for Chikoko, who was out of action for three months due to a foot injury.
The Zimbabwean however returned to action at the weekend and managed to make an immediate impact for Pau Lacq Orthez who emerged 94-82 victors over Elan Bearnins.
The lanky Zimbabwean spent 18 minutes on the floor winning four rebounds, providing 2 assists, making 2 blocks and chipping in with 17 points.
Chikoko was the second top scorer for Pau Lacq Orthez after Chris Dowe provided 23 points for his side.
The former Mbare Heat player impressed his coaches on his return as he looks forward to time on the court after a lengthy layoff.
Chikoko has turned out for Zimbabwe at the Afro Basket championships at both junior and senior levels.
He is currently based in France but has previously featured in the German Bundesliga and the Italian Serie A.
