Dynamos head coach Lloyd Chigove says the Glamour Boy’s 2019 campaign will be a year in which fusing unfamiliar talent with a bit of experience will transform the Harare giants into a competitive outfit.
The rain did not deter the Glamour Boys who are hard at work and in a crucial phase of recruiting talent they feel will be able to do the business in the 2019 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.
While the club’s failure to attract top players can be deemed as worrying, Chigove said worthiness of players will ultimately be proven by on pitch performances.
In the absence of several players who include Peace Makaha who was this week unveiled as a Manica Diamonds player and Cleopas Kapupurika who has signed a deal with Highlanders, there will be a number of changes in the DeMbare playing personnel.
The club is close to landing the services of some former players such as Edward Sadomba and Justice Majabvi but Chigove dismissed as malicious, reports suggesting a sizeable number of former players will be making their way out of retirement.
Dynamos in 2018 had a lack-luster season which saw the club having to fight for relegation.
Following the team’s survival, the DeMbare boss is hoping to work out a winning formula and transform the club into a competitive outfit.
With the Glamour Boys not accustomed to lengthy barren spells, fans will be eager for success given the club last won a league crown in 2014 under the tutelage of Calisto Pasuwa.
