Chief Magistrate Mishrod Guvamombe has warned his charges against falling into the trap of corruption which he says does not only destroy careers but also embarrasses families of the culprits.
Chief Magistrate Guvamombe is on a tour of magistrate courts in Mashonaland West.
His call at the Chinhoyi Magistrate Courts saw him meet judicial services staff whom he advised to stay clear of corruption because of its destructive tendencies to culprits and their families alike.
He also took the occasion to commend the staff for doing a splendid job despite the unfavourable working conditions at the premises.
The facility has only two toilet rooms for 80 members of staff, while office accommodation and furniture shortages are said to be critical.
He noted that a case in Chegutu where an interpreter executed her duties while standing in the corridors of the courts was a sure sign of the shortage of office accommodation.
Chief Magistrate Guvamombe pledged to have some of the challenges urgently attended to.
