The Zimbabwe cricket team will be looking to register a whitewash victory when they clash against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a fourth One-Day International (ODI) set for Harare Sports Club tomorrow.
A huge weight of expectation has been released after a 131-run win saw Zimbabwe take an unassailable 3-nil win, registering a series victory against the UAE.
Zimbabwe will now be looking to go for a whitewash victory and claim a 4-nil win when they face the UAE in the fourth ODI on Tuesday.
While the likes of Sean Williams, Tendai Chatara, Craig Ervine and Regis Chakabva are among players that have shone in the UAE’s tour of the country, Chevrons’ head coach, Lalchand Rajput is expected to make several changes in the 4th ODI so as to give other players an opportunity to prove themselves.
Brandon Mavuta, Matabeleland Tuskers’ captain, Ainsley Ndlovu, and Tony Munyonga are among players that will be relishing the prospect of being in the squad that will line-up against the UAE tomorrow.
A series victory showed the Chevrons’ progress after being denied a place by the UAE in the World Cup qualifiers hosted by the country last year.
With the proceeds of Sunday’s gate takings set to be channeled towards Cyclone Idai survivors, Zimbabwe Cricket will be hoping for yet another large crowd on Tuesday despite Zimbabwe having already secured a series win.
