Local cellular network provider, NetOne has unveiled a US$250 000 sponsorship package for this year’s edition of the Charity Shield which will feature Dynamos and Motor Action this Sunday.

After bankrolling the NetOne Charity shield to the tune of US$200 000 last year, the curtain raiser to the 2013 season has increased by US$50 000 this year.

This year’s winners are set to pocket US$50 000 with the losers set to get US$20 000.

NetOne Managing Director, Reward Kangai pledged to continue supporting local soccer through the Charity Shield, while Premier Soccer League Chief Executive Officer, Kenny Ndebele highlighted the importance of the high profile encounter.

The handing over of a cheque worth US$250 000 was followed up by the unveiling of kits that will be used by Dynamos and Motor Action.

The player that will be voted Man of the Match by a panel of journalists will pocket US$500.

The two competing teams are expected to visit charity homes on Saturday before locking horns in the second edition of the challenge match the following day.
