The newly appointed Zanu-PF Secretary for the Commissariat Cde Webster Shamu has called for unity of purpose amongst party cadres. Cde Shamu was speaking in Harare where he addressed Zanu-PF provincial members.
Following the recent appointment of politburo members by the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces Cde Robert Mugabe, newly appointed National Political Commissar Cde Webster ShamuÂ had a chance to meet with Zanu-PF Harare province members and challenged them to be fully committed to theÂ party.
Cde Shamu opened the floor to the Harare province members who came up with a number of recommendations for the commissariat chief among them being discipline among party members. Cde Shamu urged the party cadres to have unity of purpose and respect for each other as this will help reinvigorate Zanu-PF.
Deputy National Political Commissar Cde Ephraim Masawi also underscored the need for party members to remain vigilant, united and be content with their position.
Harare province Chairman Ambassador Amos Midzi said party members should put their differences aside, work together and strengthen the party.
Also present at the meeting was Cde Tendai Savanhu, Cde David Karimanzira and Cde Charles TavengwaÂ who are members ofÂ Zanu-PFâ€™s highest decision making body outside congress.
