Cde Nzenza was the Director in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 28 years.

Speaking at the funeral, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cde Simbarashe Mumbengegwi said the death of Cde Nzenza has robbed the ministry of an experienced, hardworking and dedicated officer who had many illustrious performances in the Ministry.

“She was one of the first officers in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So both the ministry and the country have lost one of the most dedicated and experienced officers,” said Cde Mumbengegwi.

The husband to the late Cde Nzenza, Elisha Muzonzini, described the late as a forthright wife and a good communicator who was generous and had a passion in farming.

Some members of the family, who spoke at the funeral, said the family has lost a unifier who was eager to carry responsibilities at all times.

Cde Nzenza was born in 1959 in Chikomba and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1983 as an Administrative Officer in the Recruitment and Diplomatic Training Section where she was responsible for coordinating all diplomatic training programmes.

Since then, she rose through the ranks to the position of Minister Pleni-Potential, a position she was supposed to assume duty on the day she died.

Cde Nzenza is survived by husband, Elisha Muzonzini and son, Munashe.
