Former ZIPRA intelligence chief and national hero, Cde Cornius Nhloko was laid to rest with full military honors at his rural home in Silobela this Thursday.

He was buried at the family farm as per his long time request to be laid to rest next to his father’s grave.

Speaking at the burial, Acting President Cde John Landa Nkomo said the nation has lost one of its illustrious sons and a dedicated cadre who will be greatly missed.

Cde Nkomo urged the nation to emulate the good works of the late and continue protecting the gains of independence.

The late hero joined the liberation struggle in 1967.

Cde Nhloko died in a horrific fire incident at their family farm in Silobela last week.
