National Consultative Assembly member and businessman Cde Jimaya Muduvuri has been appointed the patron of Association of Apostolic Churches of Zimbabwe (AACZ) at a meeting held in the capital.

Bishop Tadhiwu Mugodhi of Mugodhi Apostolic Faith Church said he supports the decision while event coordinator Emmanuel Muzhangari said this is a great stride in forging a relationship between churches and the government.

In his acceptance speech Cde Muduvuri said he is a tried and tested politician who has delivered in the past and will continue representing people.

The meeting saw most churches countrywide represented including Roman Catholic, Anglican and Salvation Army.
