obertmpofu2.jpgThe Umguza member of the house of assembly, Cde Obert Mpofu has challenged leaders in the Matabeleland region to close ranks and work as a team for the benefit of the people.

 

Addressing people who gathered at his homestead to celebrate his appointment as politburo member in charge of the economic and production portfolio, Cde Mpofu commended the coming together of Zanu-PF leaders in Matabeleland North Province saying they are an inspiration to the entire region.

 

He also commended people of Umguza for continuing to support his candidature, declaring that he is ready for the next elections.

 

Cde Mpofu also called on the people in the region to participate in the writing of the new constitution, adding that they must be clear of their issues and express themselves clearly.

 

The commemorations were attended by a number of Zanu-PF leaders who included Professor Jonathan Moyo, Cde Jacob Mudenda and Cde Isaac Dhakamela who is the Zanu-PF Chairman of the Bulawayo Province.
