ephraim masawi 16-09-10 ed.jpgA memorial service for the late National Hero and Zanu PF Politburo Member, Cde Ephraim Masawi was held on Saturday at his Pasango Farm in Bindura.


Speaker after speaker spoke of Cde Masawi’s compassionate accommodative and unifying character.

Transport, Communications and Infrastructural Development Minster, Cde Nicholas Goche said Cde Masawi was a compassionate and unifying force in the country.

“He was a dedicated nationalist, whom the Masawi family is proud of. We, as Mashonaland Central are rpoud of him and the nation at large is proud of him,” said Cde Goche.

He also reminded the gathering never to sell the country’s heritage under-whatever circumstances.

Mashonaland Central Zanu PF Provincial Chairperson, Cde Dickson Mafios and Muzarabani South Legislator, Cde Edward Raradza urged Zimbabweans to up-hold the legacy left behind by Cde Masawi.

Family spokesperson, Mr Livingston Manhombo expressed his family appreciation of the comfort and support they continue to receive from the nation at large.

Cde Masawi died last September from leukemia and was buried at the National Heroes Acre.
