The late Zanu PF Manicaland provincial secretary for gender and culture, Cde Gilbert Marange who died yesterday morning after a short illness will be buried at Nyachityu village near Marange Clinic at 12:30pm tomorrow.

Cde Marange who has since been accorded a liberation hero status leaves behind nine wives and 30 children.

Meanwhile, the Zanu PF Politburo member Dr Chris Mushohwe who worked with the late Cde Marange in Zimunya district and Manicaland Province for many years, expressed shock over the untimely death of Cde Marange.

He described the former Chief Marange as a strong cadre, who rose through the ranks right from the cell to the province.

Born on the 14th of June 1968 in Nyachityu village under Chief Marange, the late Cde Gilbert Marange held several positions in the Zanu PF Manicaland provincial executive and was once Acting Chief Marange for many years and during his tenure he spearheaded the establishment of many clinics, dip tanks and boarding schools in Zimunya, Marange district.
