Zanu PF National Political Commissar who is also the Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and National Housing, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere has read the riot act on unscrupulous land barons who have capitalised on residents to line their pockets.
Challenges of service delivery have dogged Chitungwiza Town Council for years exceeding half a decade and these challenges continue to raise the ire of residents in the area.
These were some of the concerns raised by residents at a Zanu PF meeting attended by Politburo and Central Committee members, members of parliament and hundreds of party supporters.
Responding to the raised issues, Cde Kasukuwere issued a stern warning to cunning land authorities stating that they will soon be accountable for their actions.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for the leadership to encourage party members to register under the new biometric voter registration exercise so as to ensure a resounding success for President Robert Mugabe in the harmonised elections set for next year.
