Zanu PF National Secretary for Youth Affairs, Cde Kudzanayi Chipanga has expressed satisfaction with the Midlands Province state of preparedness ahead of tomorrow’s Presidential Youth Interface rally in Gweru.
A carnival atmosphere has engulfed the City of Progress, Gweru as youths from all walks of life stand ready to welcome the first citizen, President Robert Mugabe in the Midlands capital tomorrow for his seventh leg of the Presidential Interface rally.
After touring the venue for the rally Cde Chipanga gave his thumps up at the work undertaken and commended the province for its support and guidance towards ensuring the rally realises its intention to be the mother of all youth interfaces.
Provincial youth chairman, Cde Pprosper Machando assured Cde Chipanga that all is ready and the expectation is to gather more than 100 000 people.
Foreign Affairs Minister, Cde Simbarashe Mumbengegwi urged the youths to continue mobilising people from all the corners of the province.
Meanwhile, Cde Chipanga handed over 10 000 litres of fuel coupons for use to ferry people to the venue and 10 000 t-shirts that will be distributed on a first come first serve basis at the venue tomorrow morning.
Later ecstatic youths flooded the streets of Gweru marching as a prelude to the interface rally slated for Mkoba open space near the Teachers’ College.
