Iran to boost economic ties with Zim

john landa nkomo.jpgIran Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr. Mohammad Pournajaf says his country is looking at boosting economic ties with Zimbabwe in the sector of irrigation, science and technology.

 

He was speaking after paying a courtesy call on Vice President John Landa Nkomo at his Munhumutapa Offices in Harare.

 

Addressing journalists soon after emerging from Vice President  Nkomo’s offices in Harare, Republic of Iran’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr. Pournajaf said economic ties between his country and Zimbabwe will soon see new chapters of cooperation being opened especially in the irrigation, science and technology and the industrial sectors.

West abusing UN, Security Council: President Mugabe

 

mugabe 280.jpgThe Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe, has condemned the United States of America and United Kingdom for abusing the United Nations and its organs, especially its Security Council, to threaten and occupy smaller and weaker nations which are seeking to assert sovereignty over their resources for the betterment of their own people.
  
Addressing the 14th Summit of the G-15 in Teheran, Iran, President Mugabe lambasted some powerful countries for continuing to cause conflict by using false security concerns to justify interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
