Samba Boys beat Warriors

brazil.jpgThe high profile international match between Zimbabwe  and Brazil lived to its billing despite the Warriors falling to a 3-nil defeat in an encounter watched by Head of  State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces President Robert Mugabe, First Lady Amai Grace Mugabe, Prime Minister Mr. Morgan Tsvangirai and thousands of Zimbabweans who filled the National Sports Stadium to capacity.

 

 

The Warriors however started brightly and for the first 40 minutes, the Samba Boys were reduced to an ordinary side though Kaka, Fabiano and Robinho were always threatening.

Historic Warriors & Samba boys Match kicks off

brazil-football-team.jpgThousands have thronged the National Sports Stadium for the historic international friendly tie between Zimbabwe Warriors and Brazil’s Samba boys.

 

The Head of State and Government and Commander in Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces President Robert Mugabe, the First Lady Amai Grace Mugabe, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, Brazilian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Raul de Toney , Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Engineer Walter Mzembi, are some members of the dignitaries at the National Sports Stadium for the historic match.

 

The match has kicked off.

 

 

The Samba boys, who are five time world champions arrived yesterday, and received a rousing welcome from the fans, cabinet ministers, soccer players and Zimbabwe Tourism Authority staff.
