Zimbabwe had a good start to their first test match against West Indies at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo following some impressive bowling by captain Graeme Cremer and Sean Williams. The Windies won the toss and elected to bat with a promising opening partnership between Kieran Powell and Shai Hope. Hwange open golf tourney kicks-off

The 2017 edition of the Hwange open golf tournament has kicked off in the mining town with overwhelming participation from both professionals and amateurs. The annual golf tournament attracted a total of 140 players, 100 of them amateurs. The pro-am tournament, a game in which professionals clash with amateurs was held on Friday and outstanding players walked away with prizes. World draughts champs: Bright start for Zim

One of Zimbabwe’s draughts players, Clifford Tsamba has kick-started his campaign for the World Draughts Championship on a high note. Tsamba is tallied with Uganda’s Isabirye Dan on 10 points in a competition that is currently underway in St Petersburg, Russia. Tsamba is favourite to land the $52 000 lucrative prize in a competition that has 70 countries participating. Zimbabwe Draughts Federation Secretary General, Thomas Njanike is confident that Tsamba will keep the fire burning.
