Another scramble for Africa?

scramble for africa2 12.10.10.jpgThe rush for African resources which has seen the discovery of vast  oilfields in Ghana and huge diamond deposits in Zimbabwe is taking a new dimension with multi-national corporations attempting to claim large stakes of  the continents’ resources in moves described as attempts to repartition the resource rich continent.


Just like in 1884 when Western countries gathered in Germany for the Berlin Conference to partition Africa, the scramble for African resources is still on today.

Gvt committed to improving media standards

The Minister of Media, Information and Publicity Cde Webster Shamu has expressed disappointment at the slow pace to fully operate by newly licensed newspapers, as only one has hit the streets.
