ZNYGA takes a swipe at MDC alliance

The Zimbabwe National Youth Service Graduates Association (ZNYGA) has expressed outrage at the MDC alliance for lobbying for the maintenance of illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe ahead of the 2018 harmonised elections. ZNYGA chairman Cde Abson Madusise said it is shameful that opposition political parties under the MDC alliance banner can take such a stance considering the fact that the illegal sanctions caused untold suffering among ordinary Zimbabweans. “It is discouraging to note that in our midst we have got the opposition which does not care about our masses plight who thinks suffocating the masses is the only way to make them relevant and the only way to the levers of power, to them we say shame on you and you…….,” said Cde Madusise. Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe National Youth Service also endorsed President Emmerson Mnangagwa as the presidential candidate of Zanu PF in the 2018 harmonised...

Fire guts Castle Arms Hotel

Four families who resided at Castle Arms Hotel in Bulawayo are counting losses after the lodging was razed down by fire. All they now own are their names, which sadly have no documentation to prove it is indeed them and a few clothes donated by well wishers. The fate emanated from a raging fire allegedly caused by an electrical fault that razed down the once flamboyant Castle Arms Motel on Thursday last week, reducing the building to ruins with tenants left homeless. “All my things were destroyed by fire including my academic certificates and identity documents,” said Mrs Sithabile Sibanda, an inferno victim. Cde Edson Ncube, a caretaker at the complex has made a passionate appeal to the government through the war veterans ministry to intervene on the renovations of the building which usually houses veterans of the struggle. The Castle Arms building is very significant as it was bought by war veterans in 1980 as part of the properties to improve their welfare. The veterans of the struggle are now appealing to the government to finalise the issue of title deeds for them to put in place meaningful development for the property to realise its full...
