A Zanu PF Politburo member and cabinet minister says the upcoming harmonised elections will complete the ushering in of a new dispensation which Zimbabweans set rolling in November last year. Polls a waste of time: Businessman

A 71 year old Kwekwe businessman Mr Dane Chikowore says the electoral processes are a sheer waste of time as they do not conform to the divine law as given biblically. Mr Chikowore bizarrely says he will be made king and Zimbabwe will be the central authority of the world once he is in power. ZEC reaffirms commitment to free, fair elections

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring free and fair harmonised elections. ZEC held a conference in Chipinge to brief stakeholders on its state of preparedness and updating candidates and political parties on the nomination court requirements and process. District elections officer Mr James Saguru said following the conclusion of voter registration on 2 June, ZEC is now focusing on the nomination court process scheduled for the 14th of this month. Candidates imposition scandal rocks MDC-T
