Caps United staged an incredible comeback from a goal down to beat visiting Lesotho side Llioli FC 2-1 at the National Sports Stadium yesterday to book a place in the first round proper of the CAF Champions League against DRC’s TP Mazembe.

Makepekepe got their goals through Simba Nhivi and Ronald Chitiyo inside 10 minutes into the second half.

Lioli FC got their goal early in the first half through striker Jeremiah Kamela after just 19 minutes when he finished off a good swift move.

Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe made good tactical changes after halftime which paid off as his team played well and scored early in the first half.

Chitembwe was happy Caps United got the desired result and executed his game plan well.

The Lesotho champions proved they were a good side going forward with some good swift counter attacks which bothered the Green Machine defence.

Club president Farai Jere said he was happy with the result and that his team had responded to their half-time pep talk and is now looking forward to playing against TP Mazembe next.

Caps face Dynamos next weekend in the season opener charity trophy which they will use to prepare for the TP Mazembe match in Lubumbashi.
