Caps United FC captain, Hardlife Zvirekwi says he is not worried about acclimatising to DRC conditions despite arrangements which will see the ‘Green Machine’ departing on the same day they clash against TP Mazembe.

There has been concern Caps United could struggle due to a change in weather when they clash against TP Mazembe.

Makepekepe leave on Sunday, the same day they clash against 5 time African champions TP Mazembe, leaving the club with no time to adapt to conditions in the DRC.

The Green Machine captain Hardlife Zvirekwi says following consultations the club is confident there will not be enough time for DRC conditions to take their toll on the team.

Harare has had a maximum of 26OC degrees this week but the DRC has had much higher temperatures.

On Sunday, Kinshasa is expected to have a maximum of 33OC and a minimum of 24OC with scattered thunderstorms.

The predicted forecast indicates much higher temperatures will prevail in the DRC but Caps United remain confident weather patterns will play no role in Sunday’s encounter.

After missing out on action on the African safari for over a decade, Makepekepe are hoping to stir an upset against African heavy weights TP Mazembe.
