hands-in-cuffs.jpgHarare magistrate, Anita Chuma has warned CAPS Holdings boss, Fredrick Mutanda, who is facing fraud charges, against breaching his bail conditions after it was alleged that the accused is interfering with state witnesses.

Magistrate Chuma warned Mutanda against interfering with state witnesses after the state made a complaint.

However, the state was not asked to give details on the alleged interference after the presiding magistrate indicated that she was not privy to Mutanda’s bail conditions.

Information gathered by ZBC News indicated that Mutanda locked up some of his employees at CAPS Holdings and asked them to surrender company vehicles after accusing them of giving information to the Anti- Corruption Commission.

Mutanda’s case was referred to the High Court for review after the presiding magistrate, Mr Kudakwashe Jarabini recused himself after allegations of corruption involving a senior court official.
