capleton.jpgDancehall Reggae Maestro, Capleton, who arrived in the country yesterday, held a ghetto tour this Thursday and described Zimbabwe as a peaceful country and his second home.

 

Hundreds of reggae fans converged at various shopping centers in Harare’s high density suburbs to catch a glimpse of dancehall reggae icon, Clifton Bailey popularly known by his stage name Capleton.

Capleton also known as the Prophet or King Shango toured the various high density suburbs of Harare to a rapturous welcome from his fans and took time for photo shoots with them.

Capleton said Zimbabwe is a peaceful and lovely country, describing it as his second home and promised fans nothing but the best show to end the year.

Capleton is expected to draw thousands of dancehall fans to round up the 2010 entertainment calendar when he holds two shows on the 31st of December and the 1st of January at the Glamis arena and Chitungwiza’s Aquatic Complex respectively.

Known for his songs ‘Jah Jah City’, ‘Slew dem’, ‘In her heart’, and recently sang ‘Same ol story’ among others, Caplteton has a legion of fans worldwide.
