A fashion collaboration between the British Council and Nataal Media which is a London based media platform is focusing on art designs and culture in Africa based on a number of fashion narratives.
The project which is being handled by the British Council at the Bulawayo Gallery is running under the theme, “Promoting Collaboration, Urban Youth Development and Empowerment”.
Vogue fashion journalist Adjoa Armah said there is so much potential in Zimbabwe and fashion shows should be done in collaboration with other countries.
The brain child behind the event Chenesai Mangoma highlighted the importance of fashion futures and how it would benefit Zimbabwean fashion artists in reframing style.
“The programme hopes to contribute to the reframing of sustainable policy that will ensure that fashion is a lucrative trade for the young generation,” she said.
Fashion futures highlighted that a well-established creative sector boosts culture and tourism in a country.
