Cde Marble Chinomona-National Secretary For Zanu PF Women’s League

Traditional leaders in Mashonaland East say while the constitution does not allow them to engage in active politics they have a role to play in central government as they remain the custodians of the country’s heritage.

Addressing members of the Zanu PF Women’s League from Mashonaland East at the party headquarters in Marondera, the leader of the Provincial Chiefs Council, Chief Musarurwa said they cannot allow this country to be ruled by toddlers who do not appreciate the country’s liberation history.

Zanu PF National Secretary for the Women’s League Cde Marble Chinomona challenged members of the league to ensure they encourage their children to join the revolutionary party to protect the country’s legacy.

The meeting which drew women from the provinces nine administrative districts was also attended by traditional leaders from Mashonaland East and provincial leadership.
