Zimbabweans have been urged to preserve the peace that is prevailing in the country as it is critical to national development.

The head of the Evangelical Church in Zimbabwe Bishop Benson Makichi, who was given another five year term to lead the church, underscored the need for Zimbabweans to remain united as they pursue numerous development goals meant to spur the nation forward.

Bishop Makichi says other countries in the world have tapped on unity and as a result they have become global economic powerhouses.

The Evangelical Church leader also highlighted that the church will be involved in numerous activities aimed at assisting the less privileged members of the society.
