The successful implementation of the new curriculum calls for the participation and involvement of stakeholders so that they appreciate the learning programmes says Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Dr Silvia Utete Masango.

She made the call while presenting the prestigious secretary’s merit award to Thornhill High School in Gweru.

Dr Utete Masango said her ministry will also be implementing the non formal education policy which seeks to increase access to education to all citizens by providing functional skills to adult learners, youths and those children who are out of school.

Besides receiving the secretary’s merit award Thornhill High also received e-learning equipment which included 45 laptops, a standard projector, interactive board device and a white board.

Government this year launched a new curriculum which seeks to modernise the education system so that it Is in line with modern technology.
