The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) which is commemorating the 2018 Customer Services Week has reaffirmed its commitment to promote aviation safety in line with international standards and to foster a culture of service excellence in all its operations.
CAAZ which is mandated to promote the safe, regular and efficient use and development of aviation inside and outside Zimbabwe has lined up a number of activities to mark the 2018 customer service week.
Members of staff at the upgraded Victoria Falls International Airport today visited the Rose of Charity Children’s Home in Chinotimba suburb to handover goodies to the children and to inspire them to dream big and take up jobs in the aviation industry in future.
Acting manager Victoria Falls International Airport Mr Vupenyu Shava reaffirmed the entity’s commitment to continuously improve service delivery in line with the Client Service Charter and to make positive contribution to the community.
“We are committed to work together with the community in line with our corporate social investment programme,” he said.
Rose of Charity Children’s Home operations manager Miss Sazisiwe Nyoni thanked the authority for the gesture and expressed confidence of a long term partnership between the authority and the children’s home.
“We look forward to long term partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe. I am positive that the interaction today will inspire the children to dream big,” she said.
The 2018 Customer Service Week is being held at a time the authority is upgrading most of the airports to improve efficiency and has prioritised luring more international flights to fly into the country in line with the Zimbabwe is open for business mantra.
