A Bulawayo regional magistrate has further remanded suspected serial killer Rodney Tongai Jindu to the 7th of next month for routine remand.

Jindu who is facing two counts of murder today appeared at the Bulawayo Regional Magistrate Courts for routine remand with the court packed by relatives of his victims and ordinary people who wanted to catch sight of the suspect.

On the first count, Jindu, 25, allegedly shot dead Cyprian Kadzungura on the 29th of last month and buried his body in a shallow grave.

On second count, he confessed to having murdered Mboneli Keith Ncube on the 10th of this month.

Jindu led officers to four different shallow graves where they found different body parts belonging to Ncube with some parts still missing to date.

Reports alleges Jindu killed his first victim for ritual purposes after a promise of riches and that he committed the second crime to Kadzungura who is alleged to have raised suspicions on Ncube’s death.
It is suspected that Jindu who once worked on plot number 13 in Burnside took advantage of his boss’ absence at the premises to bury his suspects in the shallow graves.

Jindu is being represented by a Bulawayo lawyer Mr Simba Mawere while Mr Taurai Hondoyemoto is prosecuting.
