The office of the Minister of State for Bulawayo Metropolitan Provincial Affairs has scaled up voter education, encouraging residents to go register as voters for the upcoming polls.

The voter registration drive by Minister Eunice Sandi Moyo was this time taken to ward 3 at Old Nic Mine where residents were called upon to acquire requisite papers to be registered.

The gathering was also graced by representatives from the Registrar General’s office and from the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC).

In an interview on the sidelines of the deliberations, Cde Sandi Moyo spoke of the importance to register and the need for youths to also take part in the process.

Some residents highlighted the challenges they are encountering while trying to acquire the documentation needed for registration.

ZEC has intensified voter registration with more centres being availed for citizens to register to vote in next year’s elections.
