All is set for the 9th Presidential Youth Interface Rally to be held at White City Stadium in Bulawayo this Saturday, with organisers saying they have mobilised over 90 percent of the resources needed to make the event a success as they target over 50 000 delegates to grace the occasion.

Zanu PF Bulawayo Provincial Youth League Secretary for Administration, Cde Leo Nyoni said his team has managed to mobilise most of the resources needed with the committee now working on final touches to make the event a resounding success.

Zanu PF Bulawayo Provincial Secretary for Information and Publicity, Cde Colleta Shoko said a number of programmes like clean up campaigns, a carnival and road-shows have been slated to give the event the much needed hype.

According to organisers, international and local artists among them Patricia Majalisa and Madlela Skobokobo have been lined up to perform at the event.

The setting of the venue to the event is very significant as White City Stadium is just some 200 metres away from the house of the late Father Zimbabwe, Dr Joshua Nkomo.

In the house nationalists would strategise on how to deal with the white settler regime.

So come Saturday, the memories of yesteryear will be revived as Bulawayo welcomes the country’s veteran nationalist, President Robert Mugabe to share some of the problems affecting the region.
