As part of its drive to ensure the technical level is improved, the National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (NAAZ) is conducting an IAAF cesc level one course at the White City Stadium in Bulawayo.
A total of 24 athletes are going through their paces in the course that started on the 7th and is expected to be concluded on the 18th of December.
Some of the participants include current and former track and field stars like Trust Chidomaya and Cuthbert Nyasango.
Course instructor, Phakamile Lisimati indicated that the event is important in molding the calibre of coaches that can produce desired results for the local athletics industry.
Zimbabwe has been yearning to rediscover the type of talent that had made the country a powerhouse on the African continent, with quality coaching being touted as a missing link especially with the sport having transformed towards a scientific approach.
