A hundred girls from Bulawayo and Tsholotsho braced the annual empowerment programme meant to invest knowledge in girls reminding them that they have an equal voice in every aspect of the society.

The programme held by Plan International created a platform where girls can learn to lead, decide and thrive.

Its aim was to directly communicate and engage with the girls aged between 12 and 24 years.

One of the conference organisers Grace Mavhezha said through engaging and interacting amongst themselves, their role models and other players the girls could have their voices amplified.

She added that the girls could also learn to make their issues visible.
