Southern Region Division 1 pacesetters, Bulawayo Chiefs maintained their dominance in the league, with a top drawer performance against Zimbabwe Leopards in a match played at Hartsfields rugby grounds in Bulawayo over the weekend.
The perennial championship contenders gave a polished display as they walloped Zim Leopards 5-nil to open a 15 point gap at the top of the log.
The victory ensured Chiefs extend their unbeaten run to 12 matches.
The Leopards found the going tough as Chiefs’ Arthur Musiiwa and skipper, Kundishora Chakanyuka each scored a brace before Adrian Banana added another one.
Head coach, Thulani ‘Thuts’ Sibanda was satisfied with his charges’ performance and reiterated that his main target is to gain promotion into the top flight.
In other action from the weekend, the Melusi Sibanda and Gift Lunga Junior coached Bosso 90 powered to second position on the log following a 2- 1 victory over ZPC Hwange, while Makomo urged Blackboots 1-nil.
Amagagasi and Chiwororo could not be separated as they played to out a 2-all draw in a Saturday encounter, while the Dazzy Kapenya coached Casmyn was too good for Talen Vision, dispatching them 2-nil.
