Rushinga communities in Mashonaland Central have been urged to take advantage of the new biometric voting registration system and come in their numbers and register to vote in preparations for the 2018 harmonised general elections.

The Rushinga electorate has been challenged to come in their numbers and register to vote in the new biometric voter registration (BVR) system in preparation for the 2018 harmonised general elections with those without proper documents being given a chance to fill in affidavit forms to acquire the necessary documents from the Registrar General’s offices for free.

Addressing hundreds of Zanu PF supporters recently house of assembly member for Rushinga constituency Cde Wonder Mashange said Rushinga is different from other areas since people have to travel long distance to get where the voter registration exercise are being done.

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has established BVR exercise across the country’s ten provinces.
