hwange fc.jpgHwange Football Club have put themselves in a difficult situation in their bid to progress to the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup after being held 1-1 at home to Sudanese outfit, Aal-Amal Atbara this Sunday afternoon.

Chipangano conceded a costly away goal that could work in favour of the Sudanese when the two teams meet again in the second leg of the encounter in North Africa.

Bubbling with confidence after hammering Jamhuri FC of Zanzibar in the preliminary round, Hwange had to come from behind this time around to force a 1-1 draw, courtesy of Rodwell Chinyengere’s equaliser.

Only a win or at least a 2-2 draw away in Sudan will be enough for the coal miners to progress to the next round.

A 1-all draw away will not be sufficient as it will force an extra time or eventually a penalty shootout, which they should definitely win.
