The Zanu PF Bulawayo province has sent a message of condolences to the Ndlovu family following the passing on of Professor Callistus Ndlovu who was the provincial chairperson.
Professor Ndlovu succumbed to cancer on Wednesday in South Africa where he had gone to seek medical attention.
Representing Bulawayo province, Zanu PF central committee member Senator Moli Mpofu described the late Cde Ndlovu as a peaceful man who dedicated his life to unifying the people of Bulawayo and Zimbabwe at large.
Zanu PF politburo member Absalom Sikhosana also consoled the Ndlovu family describing him as a consistent and dependable leader who will be sorely missed.
Professor Ndlovu is survived by his wife Angeline, four children, four grandchildren and one grandson.
Mourners are gathered at Number 3 Fletcher Avenue in Khumalo suburb, Bulawayo.
