Southern Region Division One pacesetters, Bulawayo Chiefs maintained their dominance in the league, with a top drawer performance against Zim Leopards in a match played at Hartsfield Rugby Grounds over the weekend.
The perennial premiership contenders gave out a polished display as they walloped Zim Leopards 5-nil to increase their lead on the league table to 15 points while extending their unbeaten run to 12 matches.
Leopards had been recording impressive results over the past weeks but found the going tough as Arthur Musiiwa and skipper Kundishora Chakanyuka each scored a brace while Adrian Banana added another.
Head coach Thulani Sibanda was satisfied with his charges’ performance and reiterated that his main target was to gain promotion to the top flight.
In other action from the weekend, the Melusi Sibanda and Gift Lunga Junior coached Bosso 90 powered to second position on the log following a 2-1 victory over ZPC Hwange while Makomo edged Blackboots 1-nil.
Amagagasi and Chiwororo could not be separated as they played out a 2-all draw in a Saturday encounter while the Dazzy Kapenya-coached Casmyn was too good for Talen Vision, dispatching them 2-nil.
