Botswana musician, Nishu has hailed the abundant talent within the Zimbabwean music industry and intends to collaborate with upcoming artists in the resort town of Victoria Falls come 2018.
The Kasane based musician, who was in Victoria Falls for holiday and a musical show, is confident that the Zimbabwean creative industry is set for a major growth.
She said she has already started working on some projects with local artists particularly those in the border town, adding that there are many opportunities which can be exploited by artists from both countries, hence the need for more collaborations
Nishu’s latest album: ‘Mixed Emotions’ is gaining much popularity back in Botswana.
Victoria Falls based Afro-fusion artist, Blessing Nyagwaya said he was pleased to have shared the stage with Nishu during a recent show, confirming that a collaboration on a single will hit the airwaves the first half of 2018.
Meanwhile Nyagwaya, known by his fans as Buju, is set to release his fifth music album entitled: ‘Mboni yeZiso.’
There have been few collaborations between Zimbabwean musicians and their counterparts in Botswana with Jah Prayzah’s ‘Dalie Wangu,’ which he recorded together with equally talented Magdeline Lesolebe, better known as Charma Gal, one of the notable collaborations.
